I have LOTS of memories of Stan & Penn Taft! My parents took me there as a young child when they were getting our family prescriptions filled. As a teenager, I worked at Penn Taft...Stan hired me when I needed a job. He was always kind to me & he was an example of a good businessman! I met my future husband while working at Penn Taft! He was a customer there & our young love blossomed right in that Pharmacy! It holds a special place in our hearts & we go there occassionally & tell the current employees of our 1980's Penn Taft love story! So thank you Stan for giving my parents advice to heal my childhood ailments, an income when I was a teenager & a place where I met my husband of now 32 years!!

Although I hadn't seen him in years, Stan will always hold a special place in my heart. In his obituary, it says that he always left people feeling encouraged and better about themselves and I agree with that 100%. I worked for him at Whitaker Drugs for nearly 24 years and during my early years there, he was one of the first people to really encourage me - and pay me well! - to do my artwork. I did several projects for his business and his family events and I have always felt that he was one of the first to make me feel that I could be successful in that pursuit. We've lost another great one and Stan will certainly be missed.

Howie,
I was so sorry to learn of Stan's passing. Your dad was the best! He gave me my first job at Penn Taft for $1/hr! He was kind and generous and he always had time for everyone who came into the store. And, he was always so proud of you and your sisters. My sincere sympathy to you, your mom and sisters. I have often thought of your dad throughout the years. I was sorry we did not keep in touch. I hope you keep your memories of your dad close to your heart. He will be missed.
Sincerely,
JoAnn Radakovich Scanga
