My deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Linda Sendek. Linda was a very talented laboratory technologist who worked as a lead with a dedicated team of people in the clinical laboratories at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and contributed to the state of the art patient care services during her tenure. Linda worked through the laboratories during times of rapid changes in the services as new technologies and tests were introduced for the evolving fields of transplantation, cancer therapies, emergency medicine and other specialities. Linda enthusiastically implemented the advances in the laboratories with a closely coordinated group of talented laboratory scientists. Together with Mike Sendek, Linda provided exemplary services that were greatly appreciated.

Lauren and Family, I am so sorry to hear about Linda's death except that, as you said, she is out of pain and not suffering. May you find peace in knowing that her struggles are over. Karen and Linda were my cousins. My mother, Peggy Bussler Hall, was sister of Polly Gerstner. I did see Linda at Polly's 90th birthday party(I think it was her 90th). But other than that I had not seen her for many years. When we were kids we all had such a good time visiting PopPop and Grandma Bussler in Pennsdale. PopPop and Grandma kept us all entertained, especially with ice cream and pretzels. Fun times! Peace to you all.
