Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Johnston

Elizabeth Ann Johnston, of White Oak, died February 24, 2020. She was born in McKeesport and is the daughter of the late Michael and Anne Popik Hutsko. Elizabeth worked in the payroll department for Kings Family Restaurant with over 25 years of service before retiring at the age of 78. She was a devoted member of Mary, Mother of God Parish in McKeesport, White Oak American Legion Auxiliary, a faithful supporter of St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, and White Oak Animal Safe Haven- No Kill Shelter, Best Friends Animal Society since she was an avid pet lover, Elizabeth is the wife of the late David M. Johnston. She is survived by her loving children, David (Donna) Johnston of Grayson, Georgia, and Lisa (Peter) Taylor of Cincinnati Ohio, two adoring granddaughters, Katherine Leigh, and Emily Michelle Johnston, and brother, Robert (Joan) Hutsko of White Oak. Elizabeth was preceded in death by brothers, John Stephen, and Michael Hutsko. Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church.
