Obituary of Robert Patrick "Murph" Murphy

Robert P. “Murph” Murphy, age 88 of Port Vue, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017. He was born in the North Side of Pittsburgh, January 25, 1929, the son of the late Patrick M. and Rose Murphy. He was predeceased by his wife Donna Hayes Murphy and his daughter Kathy Moffitt. He was a lifetime resident and employee of Port Vue Borough, where he was a fireman and the oldest social member of the Port Vue American Legion. He is survived by his son Patrick M. (Lois) Murphy of Port Vue, daughter, Sandy L. (Timothy) Wilson of Port Vue, grandchildren; Patrick (Stacey Matson) Murphy of Las Vegas, Robert (Jessica Snyder) Murphy of Port Vue, Alexis Murphy of Ross Township, Katie Wilson and Jake Wilson of Port Vue, Frank (Cindy) Moffitt and Kenny Moffitt of McKeesport. Also 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Friends and family will be received on Friday June 9th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home of McKeesport, 600 Market St., McKeesport, PA 15132, where a service will be held Saturday at 10 am with Pastor Jody Dausey officiating.
