Obituary of John A. "Uncle Buck" Campbell

John A. “Uncle Buck” Campbell, age 89 of McKeesport, died on Sunday, October 1, 2017. He was born June 11, 1928 in Cheswick, PA, the son of the late Frank and Roberta Campbell, and husband of the late Rosalie Maiolo Campbell. John served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea, and was a  carpenter for the Carpenter’s Union #230 for fifty years before his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Roberta V. Campbell and their two sons, Mark and Bill Campbell, brother Adam Kiel Campbell, and sisters Dorothy Tomcik, Gladys Smith and Alice Giammario.

John is sirvived by his daughter Peggy Ann Grills of Santa Rosa, CA, sons; John A. (Romy) Campbell of Windsor, CA and Frank D. (Dianna) Campbell of Montgomery Creek, CA, and sister Frances Bartifay of McKeesport. Also many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services were held Tuesday, October 2, 2017 at Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home, McKeesport, PA 15132.
