My friendship with Armand goes back to the years we were both employed by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and worked together at Mon Valley School. He was a wonderful teacher and very well-liked by all of his students, and highly respected by all of the faculty. He was incredibly gifted as a sculptor and artist....and baker! I have several of his delicious bread recipes and several of his glass sculptors. I wish to extend to each of you my deepest heartfelt sympathy.

Dear Carole,
Dawn and I were very saddened to learn of Armand's passing today. Please accept our condolences.
I spent today thinking of the four of us wandering around the Emerald Isle laughing, dining, drinking, and telling great stories of each day's adventures.
His life was an example of how to live to the fullest and enjoy the fond moments with friends and family. His gentle nature and kindness to everyone is a tall order for the rest of us to emulate. I'm sure that the crossed over McGowans and Lombardos were there to take him home to the other side.
May God keep you blessed for all the loving care that you gave him during the very last difficult years of his life.
