Obituary of Sallie L. Prihode

Sallie L. Prihode, age 81 of McKeesport, died Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was born June 16, 1936 in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Ernest and Judy Welsh Lofstrom, and wife of the late Edward P. Prihode. Sallie graduated from McKeesport School of Nursing and worked forty-two years as a nurse for Dr. Laurence T. Ritchie in White Oak, until her retirement. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 47 years. She was a member of the Clairton Chapter #316, past Matron of White Oak Chapter #542, past District Deputy, and 1989 Grand Warder of the Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania. 

She is survived by her daughter Kim (Bob) Kamenicky of White Oak, son Edward T. Prihode of White Oak, granddaughter, Kristin (Dave) Behm of N. Huntingdon, grandsons; Brian (Kim) Kamenicky of Bethel Park, and Chad (Emily Herdlick) Prihode of McKeesport, and great grandsons; Noah Behm and Mason Kamenicky.

Family and friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on March 28, 2018 pm from 2:00 until 8:00 pm. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11:30 am with Pastor William B. Meekins officiating. Burial will follow at McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.
